Two real life Ferris Bueller wannabes went on the ultimate spending spree after stealing a credit card.

19-year-olds Mohannad Halaweh and Nhimia Kahsay were arrested by police after renting a sports car and a £7m vacation home.

The McLaren sports car was valued at £150,000, with the deadly duo renting it for £7,700 before it was declared stolen.

They were arrested by police in Santa Rosa, California: Halaweh on suspicion of possessing stolen property and credit card fraud, with Kahsay arrested on outstanding fraud warrants. Halaweh had previously attempted to purchase £6,000 worth of Apple equipment - 14 iPhones and two laptops - back in March.

Still, at least the car was found unscathed - unlike a certain 1961 Ferrari GT California...
