Superb pop culture collages

And here we were thinking collages were just an elaborate art form designed to distract irritable toddlers.

French artist Mr Garcin has shown us the error of our ways. Armed with a scalpel and reams of pop culture print outs, Garcin spends his time (we imagine a considerable amount of it) creating stunning frescos.

Each larger image is made up of blocks of similarly-coloured characters, meticulously cut out and intricately over-layed. One wonders of the value of the comics Garcin has sliced his way through to create his work - but the end results are easily worthy of the expenditure.
