Spectacular open goal miss

Spare a thought for Greuther Fuerth midfielder Edgar Prib who has shot to YouTube infamy in Germany after a spectacular miss in front of an open goal.

The 21-year-old looked set to score against Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany's second division when he chipped the ball beautifully over keeper Oka Nikolov.

All he had to do was prod it home but somehow he managed to hit the woodwork.

"I died a thousand deaths," Prib told reporters. "I could have decided that game but instead the God of football did not want it that way."

Blame whoever you can big guy.
