Sesame Street Takes on Star Wars

Excitement is building ahead of Episode VII, but the furry stars of Sesame Street have got in there first to create this excellent parody video.

The Cookie Monster stars alongside Luke Piewalker, Flan Solo, Chewie the Cookie and Darth Baker to save Princess Parfaita from the Galactic Empire, encountering a range of wise monsters along the way.

It's fun, silly and demonstrates once again the full extent of Cookie Monster's dangerous and overwhelming addiction to biscuits.

We're starting to think that if Cookie had starred in The Phantom Menace instead of Jar Jar Binks it would have been an enormous improvement; perhaps J.J. Abrams can work him into the new movie.

Watch and enjoy below.
