Road map portraits

NikkiRosato1.jpg

When we think of road maps, we usually associate a feeling of anguish and frustration, coupled with someone shouting that we're lost and it's completely our fault.

So it's with a great deal of reluctance that we embrace a new set of pieces, based around road maps.

Luckily we're getting pleasure out of these portraits, rather than the conditioned response of pain, thanks to artist Nikki Rosato's smart upcycling.

She uses maps in her art as their structure bears an uncanny resemblance to that of the human body. You know, what with the lines and stuff. This is becoming much more noticeable of late...

You can see more of her excellent work here.
