Redesign The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Cover
06 March 2013

ShortList.com has become known for it's incredibly talented readers. We're not just saying that. It's true. You've designed film posters for us that have gone on to be used as part of the Moonrise Kingdom DVD release campaign! On top of that after spotting Chris Thornley's Bourne Legacy poster (top one here) CBS films asked the artist to produce a poster for the release of Seven Psycopaths.

And today we ask you to get designing again. This time in the world of literature.

Having seen the jaw-dropping work you've produced, MacLehose Press, publishers of the phenomenally successful Millennium Trilogy by Swedish journalist Stieg Larsson, want you to redesign the book covers to one (or more) of five of their biggest titles. Take your pick from:

  • The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson
  • Brodeck’s Report by Philippe Claudel
  • Heaven and Hell by Jón Kalman Stefánsson
  • An Atlas of Impossible Longing by Anuradha Roy
  • Beauty and the Inferno by Roberto Saviano

And although we know you'd do it for the love, this time you don't have to. There will be one first placed design for each of the five books and an overall winner chosen out of those five. The winner will receive a £1000 travel bursary with the four runners up getting £250 each. In addition, there will be an exhibition of selected entries. And if they're really good they'll use the design on the cover of the book. Entries are accepted from all over the world.

The winners will be chosen by their panel of judges including:
