R2-D2's Beeps Translated

Vworp. Whistle. Beep, beep, zert. Since 1977, the outbursts of everyone's favourite protocol droid have remained a mystery to Star Wars fans. All except Eclectic Method, who  - like the Google Translate app in human form - thinks he's cracked R2's indecipherable chatter.

It's at this point that we have to disappoint those of you hoping for a complex, intelligent explanation as to what R2 is actually saying - the following video is rooted in humour rather than anything scientific.

Adding subtitles to scenes from the original and prequel trilogies, Eclectic Method has translated R2's dialogue that fit within the wider context the droid finds himself in. Accurate, no. Funny, yes.
