When you're trying to sharpen your card skills, or betting the house on that poker match that has seriously got out of hand, a normal pack of cards just won't cut it any more.

Step forward this new Kickstarter project, which is creating a unique set of playing cards, with each of the 54 cards designed by a different artist.

The idea comes from online magazine Digital Abstracts, and they've unveiled the first five card designs that have been submitted - and they all look fantastic. They have already reached their funding target of £3000 after just a few days, but there's 25 days left, at the time of writing, for you to put your order in too.
