Own goal of the year?

OwnGoal.jpg

The best own goals are the one ones scored with panache. With aplomb. With audacity.

This peach from Nigerian defender Festus Baise (ace name, by the way), a kind of inverted bicycle kick, is on track to become the best of the year.

He humped it home for (well, against) his team Citizen AA while playing against (well, for) Sun Hai in the Hong Kong league.

He trots off clearly dejected, but we reckon this deserves a lap of honour. Who cares whether it was in his own net or not?

Well, other than the Citizen fans, obviously.
