Hide the donuts. Lock the fridge. Pour those Duffs down the sink.

That's right, the artery-baiting dietary habits of Homer J Simpson are now being copied in the real world. Thankfully, however, Caolan McArthur has only brought one iconic snacking scene to life - his doctor will thank him for it.

McArthur worked with CinemaRaven in creating this synchronised scoffing, which speeds up the real life footage and overlays with the exact same timing and movement of Homer in episode 15 of season three 'Lisa The Greek', and it’s a thing of beauty.

Replacing the staple products from Springfield with real ones, McArthur might just be the closest we'll ever get to a live action Homer, embodying the role like a natural. Watch how focused his face is, just as in the zone as his cartoon counterpart while the sweet sugary goodness hits his tastebuds. Paint him yellow and we might not have even noticed the difference.

He would have probably eaten Bart’s shorts if given the half the chance.
