Nike Sneakers Illustrated

There's no doubt about it - the turn of the decade from 80s to 90s was a golden era for the trainer (or sneaker to our American friends). Michael Jordan and Charles Berkeley were flying on the court, and lending their name to era-defining shoes off it. And you could still buy Hi-Tecs. Great days.

So, despite not even being born when these shoes came out, up-and-coming designer Jack Stocker has created these brilliant minimal illustrations of some classic Nike designs.

Giving his reasons for the style, Stocker told The Daily Street, "I didn’t want to create another illustration that’s just a graphic of how you see the trainer as it is, as it’s already been done by many graphic designers. I wanted to take a step back from just doing an illustration of what you see and look at what you don’t see at first glance, which are the basic shapes within the trainer itself."

Jack is just 18, so very much a one to watch for the future: check out more of his stuff here. In the meantime, we're off to eBay to try and find some Quasar Football Boots.
