Mike Tyson Fights Himself On Punch-Out!!

Of all the people walking around on earth, there’s only one we would ever dare suggest go a few rounds with Mike Tyson. That’s right, Iron Mike himself.
But rather than ask the former boxing champ to put on a glove and smack himself in the face, Jimmy Fallon went for the more sensible option while interviewing Tyson on his talk show last night, by inviting the slugger to face himself on his NES classic Punch-Out!!.
Stepping into the digital ring from the comfort of a control pad just yards from a big screen, and into the boots of the scrawny underdog, he looked decidedly nervy at the proposition of the game.
Of course that’s where the beauty of button bashing comes in, as Tyson, revved up by the crowd, started to unleash a few combos by gauchely hitting the pad, before being inevitably knocked out by his in-game former self. Does he pick himself up and go on to win it? Click the video below to find out.
And if you thought this was nostalgia squared, check out Pierce Brosnan playing Goldeneye when he dropped by the show earlier in the year.
