Michael Jackson as a hologram

Weird or cool?

Michael Jackson as a hologram

While we've never ventured into the realms of totally crazy fandom, we can understand why the King of Pop's followers will be beside themselves that he could once again take the stage (Dangerous was an important album to us, okay?).

Thanks to the Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg performance with Tupac the hologram at Coachella last week, family members of Michael Jackson have suggested that there is a chance MJ will be given the same treatment.

Michael's brother Jackie was apparently inspired by the event and said: “It could have been Michael — absolutely. Wouldn’t that be wonderful? As a matter of fact, we had that idea two years ago for Michael’s Cirque du Soleil show.”

According to the Sun's report a source said: “As always with Michael’s estate and creating new art with his image, there will be a lot of politics to navigate. But we’ve all seen how well it can be done now."

The CGI technology used for the Tupac hologram was created by a Hollywood special effects house and cost over £100,000. We're just guessing but we bet those tickets will be pretty pricey.
