It's a song of ice and fire. And mushrooms.

Talented YouTuber NicksplosionFX has created a shot-for-shot remake of the opening credits of all-consuming Game of Thrones', set in the world of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Having broken down the swooping shots of the original title sequence, NicksplosionFX's Mario-themed rendition visits various locations from the iconic gaming series, complete with a wonderful 8-bit version of the soundtrack.

Check out his YouTube channel for similar reworkings of the Italian plumber.
