Mario merrily runs around his little world, eating whatever powerups take his fancy. But has anyone ever stopped to consider the side-effects of these tasty treats? Probably not.

One man who has, though, is comedian Pete Holmes. In the latest of his realistic Mario series, he takes a look at the unintended side effects of Mario eating those strange-looking mushrooms that regularly cross his path.

You can watch what happen below: suffice to say, Mario goes on quite a trip.
