Manic Evolution Of Video Games Animation

Tired of waiting for the virtual reality dreams promised by the Oculus Rift and Microsoft's HoloLens? Then the following video is only going to add more fuel to your VR fires.

Created by Pixel Storm Films, The Evolution of Video Games is a digital-meets-real-world animation from a group of school students (ICT lessons to have come a way since our day).

Starting with the sliding panels of the original Pong tennis game, the short ploughs through the major highlights of four decades of video games: from the Thwomps of Mario to the blocks of Minecraft

Give it a few more years and we'll probably be plugging in our headsets to play a similar madcap historical adventure. Angry Birds will have to do for now.
