Man Runs Onto Track During Horse Race

horse.jpg

Eclipsing most failed wagers placed at UK racecourses this weekend, one daft punter, it seems, lost a bet of an entirely different sort.

After leaving the stands and vaulting a fence during the 8.45pm contest at Saturday's Leicester Races, the white-shirted man was picked up by TV cameras sprinting down the final 100 yard stretch in a bid to win it himself.

Of course the prankster, whose photo finish was at a local police station, and was lucky not have been trampled and killed for his tomfoolery, didn’t last long as his four-legged opponents passed him in a matter of seconds.

They call it horsepower for a reason.
