Kid-Friendly Game Of Thrones Illustrations

Grizzly. Savage. Brutal. All words you'd readily associate with Game of Thrones. Not playful. Nor endearing. Certainly not whimsical.

Yet the Californian-based illustrator Nikolas Ilic has taken the hardened characters of HBO's show and softened their edges.

Joffrey still looks like a brat, Ygritte still has that fire in her eyes and Mormont retains his bluster - but each of them looks fit to star in a child-friendly version of George R R Martin's story. Quite as to what would happen in such an adaptation is beyond us. A drawn out game of musical thrones?
