Incredible Video Of GTA V's Los Santos By Night

Ah, Grand Theft Auto, how you've grown in these past 17 years, maturing into a fine specimen after those initial, heavily pixelated days when going off-piste during a mission meant splattering lines of Hare Krishna gang members in a blocky yellow cab.

Harmless fun, of course, but mere child’s play compared to the nomadic treats offered up by GTA V today, which gives us a near limitless next-gen landscape across the city and boundaries of Los Santos.

Who needs missions, anyway? With thousands of in-game characters and secret hangouts populating this eerie faux Californian world, players can spend hours and even days wandering around. Even at night you won't be left wanting for something to do, as this video below highlights.

Indeed, if proof were needed that you could get lost in the game and never return following a wrong step down a dark ally, it's this video from YouTube user The XXI, which takes in the crowds and nightspots of Los Santos, some dark and seedy, others just seedy, and coolly overlays it with 50s Manhattan by Jesse James.

We’re not saying we think Tron could happen, but okay, yes, we’re saying it could happen.
