Incredible Jet Ski Backflip

Backflips. Beautiful as they may be, some modes of transport just aren't permissible for such a daring move. Like a city bus, for instance. Or a horse.

And if you hadn’t already, you can now safely cross Jet Ski off that list, as the lens-soaked footage below shows world champion James Visser pulling off the trick in South Africa in frightening style.

Using the turbulent seas off the coast of Durban as his playground, Visser goes through a range of arm-flailing stunts visible via his head-cam before finally ramming up and into a wave, arching his body upwards and revolving in mid-air, defying odds and gravity alike as his hefty motor comes crashing back down.

He’s not the first to achieve this feat and he won’t be the last, but this head-mounted recording by the good folk at GoPro means it’s the closest many of us will ever get to experiencing it.
