Incredible 8-second exposure city shots

8 second 1.jpg

Whenever we try to mess with the settings on our camera, it ends in tears. From us and whoever has their face chopped off in the disastrous photo.

But if you're like a professional and that, you can play around with stuff and it can actually pay off. Take Nicolas Ruel who started the 8 Seconds project back in 2007. He takes shots of cities using filters that reduce his lens opening and then he moves the camera from one view to another in the same exposure.

The results are pretty incredible and he will continue with the project until 2015.

You can see more of his work here.
