We thought we had it nailed when we created that website that consisted exclusively of cat videos, bacon and Jennifer Lawrence.

But it seems we didn't pay attention to all the fine details of web design, chief amongst them the need to understand how people track and read the information on a webpage.

This useful infographic, created by noworryweb.co.uk, explains the ways in which readers naturally navigate a page, together with tips for how to best utilise that knowledge in your own design.
