Giant Red Balls to hit UK

Artist's inflatable aceness is inbound

Giant Red Balls to hit UK
29 February 2012

It's art! Art we tells ya! Giant red balls are about to pop up all over the UK. And it's art.

The huge spheres have already been spotted around the world, sometimes squeezed between buildings or perched on bridges.

They are the work of New York artist (see, it's art!) Kurt Perschke, who places the fifteen foot inflatable ball in unexpected locations.

He has so far visited locations including Chicago, Barcelona, Taipei and Abu Dhabi (above), but this summer will tour Britain. Arriving on the streets of the English Riviera in Torbay in June, RedBall then tours to Plymouth, Exeter, Weymouth before ending its tour on London's South Bank. During the tour RedBall will visit each city, changing location several times.

It's art.
