Ever since we pondered that argument-inducing scene in which Cobb sets his totem spinning one final time, we've been longing for our own perfectly balanced, reality-proving spinning top.

Well you can finally throw away that cheap Christmas cracker effort you've been holding on to. ForeverSpin.com are on a Kickstarter mission to create the world's first spinning top company, producing perfectly balance 'luxury' spinning tops.

Similar to the Inception totem, ForeverSpin's tops are based on a ceramic design originating from Troy in 3000 BC. Available in three finishes (brush, polished and gold plated), all the tops are created using a $500,000 3D printer and milling machine - able to chisel out spinning tops with an accuracy of 16 microns (5 times smaller than a human hair). Only those tops created with 'perfect' balance will receive a ForeverSpin serial number and seal.

You can still pick up a project pledge for as little as £8 on the ForeverSpin Kickstater project.
