As much as they might sound like companies imagined by primary school children, you’ll probably know them better as Pepsi, Nike, IBM and Google.

And, it turns out, these aren't the only companies to benefit from a severe brand overhaul during their rise to Fortune 500 status, tweaking both moniker and logo in pursuit of worldwide recognition.

One glance at this revealing infographic - created by WebHostingBuzz.com - proves that a host of our most recognised companies and products have done likewise, making us wonder if we'd have bothered playing Sonic the Hedgehog if the video game were available on a console from Service Games.

We will warn you though - some of the more recent rebrand exercises are still a work in progress.
