Earthquake-Resistant Bed Invented

An earthquake survivor in North China has designed a new bed to protect the user from the effects of a deadly tremor.

The civilian inventor has spent four years modifying his creation which, when it detects a quake above 6 on the Richter scale, will automatically fold, enclosing and protecting the user.

Watch the clip below for more details; it looks comfortably similar to collpasing a classic 'Zed-bed', so we'd gladly use one.
