Despite being old enough to know better, our love of LEGO and Doctor Who shows no sign of abating. Though until now it had largely involved playing with the former while watching the latter.

This video goes one better. Paying blocky tribute to the recent 50th anniversary special of Doctor Who, YouTube geniuses Bookshelf Productions have LEGO-fied the action, turning Matt Smith, David Tennant and John Hurt into yellow-faced mini- figures.

And as any Whovians will attest, it’s quite simply amazing, the kits matched superbly to the dialogue and set pieces. As are the likeness of spikey-haired Tennant and foppishly trimmed Smith, and glam-looking Jenna Coleman.

Like what you see? Well the same group are on a campaign to bring this Doctor Who set to mass production, which you can click here and help support. One would certainly come in handy if you've ever a few hours to exterminate.
