Cristiano Ronaldo disguises himself as footballing tramp to make fans' day

Street performers. The pop-up video ads of the real-life high street.

Many will stand and watch for a few seconds before feeling a mild pang of guilt that they aren't going to pay for this entertainment, and shuffle into the nearest Primark.

Several Spanish shoppers did just that when they were accosted by an overly eager football performer in central Madrid recently. The strangely chunky, bearded player was performing a few dribbles and ball skills, clearly not impressing the majority of passers by. Had they known that zealous act was in fact Cristiano Ronaldo, they might have hung about for a bit, or got a selfie with him at the very least.

The bizarre stunt was part of CR7's launch of the ROC by Monster headphones and speakers series, an audio range in direct competition with the likes of Beats.

At least he's got a potential backup career if his efforts at Real Madrid fall flat.
