Car Jump Record Attempt Goes Spectacularly Wrong

We're so used to seeing amazing stunts pulled off with the minimum of fuss that it's easy to forget just how risky they are - as this failed world record attempt demonstrated on Tuesday.

French daredevil Guerlain Chicherit was attempting to break the record for the world's longest car jump in his modified Mini but, as the video below shows, it went very wrong. Luckily - not too wrong: Chicherit walked away from the crash and is apparently unhurt, suffering just minor injuries.

We wonder if the record was still broken - he did make it across the jump...in a way.
