We’re talking about The Oscars, all right, and with February 22nd looming ever closer, here comes an excellent mashup of this year’s Best Picture nominees to remind us how brilliant these eight pictures are, abetted by a flurry of clever editing and super smart soundtrack use.
Because whether it’s the sweaty jazz drumming of Birdman and Whiplash, or the inspiring, sweeping classical notes that accompanied The Theory Of Everything and The Imitation Game, the songs used in these films help highlight the power shared between the successful campaigns they've enjoyed.
Before you go doffing your cap to the Academy, however, we should point out that this has actually been edited by Dustin Martin, a movie fan and student at the University of Nevada. What an effort.
