Brilliant art series imagines hit TV shows as anime

You know anime characters (customary scowls, eyes bigger than the sun, gleaming hairstyles, the look of a person who just ran over an Angry Bird). And you know characters of hit TV shows, right?

So what if these two worlds collided? Well thanks to illustrator Toshib Bagde, we’re sure it wouldn’t be a million miles away from the Manga-esque images below, all paired with the original poster stills of the TV shows they homage.

True to form, it seems that the anime versions are more prone to letting their feelings be known than their fully fleshed-out real life equivalents, with the moody skulking in Game Of Thrones turning to full blown tears and Daredevil looking in serious need of a hug.

And if you're not impressed by others including Breaking Bad, there’s the extra cool factor of BBC’s Sherlock. It doesn’t take a Victorian-era sleuth to work out that Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman are a pretty big deal in Japan now, so lord knows what the rabid fans over there will make of this cartoonified take on Baker Street’s steeliest duo.

Maybe they’ll petition for an animated series aimed at kids. Elementary indeed.
