In the 80s, computer hacking was the nerd's moment to shine.

Unlocking the intricate and labyrithian recesses of a highly-classified defence system looked like the most glamorous, exciting and risk-taking thing you could do - and the only tools you needed were a sharp brain and fast fingers to bash away at the keyboard like a pro while decoding lines of seemingly impenetrable text with ease.

This fantastic video brings together all those classic moments of 80s computer hacking: getting past the mainframe and into the subnet to cause mayhem and right some wrongs.

Watch below, and if you fancy giving it a go yourself, visit one of the best sites on the internet: hackertyper.com
