Since the invention of the Walkman in 1979, listening to music out and about has been a wonderful way to live your life with its very own, personalised soundtrack (well, at least until the batteries ran out).

And headphone technology has progressed so much that it's now possible to completely blot out the sounds from outside; something that these fantastic posters demonstrate perfectly.

Designed by Miami ad agency Y&R/Bravo, these four posters - featuring The Beatles, Iron Maiden, Bob Marley and Madonna - advertise PopClik headphones and demonstrate that whatever's happening around you, you can retreat to your own, perfect musical world.
