It looks like 75 years of service has taken its toll on Batman. He's gone postal - but that's not stopping him from stamping out crime.

To celebrate the Dark Knight's 75th anniversary, The US Postal Service is running a limited print of Batman-themed stamps.

Following in the footsteps of fellow crime fighters Superman, Wonderwoman and The Flash, eight designs are set to commemorate the Golden, Silver, Bronze and Modern ages of DC's most enduring caped crusader.

Fans and collectors will be able to get their hands on the first sets of the stamps at New York's Comic Con in October. Here's hoping the Royal Mail follow suit.
