Back To The Future Monopoly Coming This Summer

BTTFMonopoly.jpg

You can try and take over Hill Valley by pure wheeling and dealing with the news that an official Back To The Future Monopoly game is in the works.

There have been fan-made versions for many years, but this is the first one to be officially endorsed and will be coming out via USAOpoly in the States and Winning Moves in the UK. An early version had been seen at the 2014 Toy Fair in London with an alternative cover (pictured below), but it looks like the final version will feature a yellow hazmat-style case; we presume there's not actually any plutonium in it, but we're not ruling that out yet.

It had been announced earlier this month via worldofmonopoly.com, but Blastr has provided the first image so far (above). Other Monopoly versions on the way include the hotly-anticipated Game Of Thrones, alongside The Big Bang Theory, Marvel Universe and Top Gear. Presumably there'll be lots of Free Parking spaces on that one.

For the Back To The Future edition, we can only imagine that whoever gets the DeLorean playing token will be able to go backwards as well as forwards on the board - that could prove quite an advantage.

It's expected to retail for $39.99 and is due out in May.
