Awesome LEGO Grand Budapest Hotel

We forewarned you about this - well, if posting an image of a pink brick to the background of Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel on Twitter counts.

But here it is: a 50,000 piece monster from master builder Ryan Ziegelbauer and a team of fellow LEGO architects who’ve just erected the titular building to coincide with the film’s Blu-ray and DVD release, each piece ensuring we all feel a bite more insecure about our own LEGO-based skills.

Soaring seven feet tall, weighing over 150lbs and possibly the most twee LEGO creation ever assembled, it’s well worth seeing how they accomplished this feat in the video below.

And there you were thinking it didn't get any better than our [[[http://www.shortlist.com/cool-stuff/design/alternative-grand-budapest-hotel-posters alternative poster.

The Grand Budapest Hotel is out in the UK on Blu-ray and DVD from 7 July
