Luke Skywalker might be the last Jedi, but Darth Vader is the legend. Thor gets the girl, but Loki steals the story. Captain Hook, The Nazgul, Iago, The Joker, Hannibal Lecter, Dracula - bad guys of every era are consistently cooler than their heroic counterparts.

This trend is the focus of the stunning Crazy 4 Cult: Say Hi to the Bad Guy exhibition at Los Angeles' Gallery1988 (West).

The latest in the Crazy 4 Cult series, known for turning iconic films into works of art, Say Hi to the Bad Guy exhibits the villainous work of over 50 artists. Beloved baddies to have received due adoration from the artists include Ghostbusters' Boo, Rocky IV's Ivan Drago and A Nightmare on Elm Street's Freddy Krueger.

We're off to begin our slow spiral into evil - we hear they're auditioning for the Panto villain at a theatre down the road.

“Constructivist Pugilist Manifest No. 4” by Anthony Petrie (Rocky IV)
