Ace Superhero rocker illustrations

Thanks to Hollywood's current obsession with lycra-clad heroes and the reunion of every major band of the 80s, we've never had to stash away our tattered collection of comics and aged albums.

Such is Andrés Moncayo pride in his youthful inspirations that he's combined them to superb effect.

The New York-based illustrator's Super Rockers series recasts the major hero squads of DC and Marvel (The Justice League and Avengers respectively) as crews of punk, rock and metal lovers.

We're off to buy ourselves some purple skinny jeans and mosh our way through the Sex Pistols back catalogue. We suggest you do likewise, having checked out the rest of Moncayo's work on his Behance site.
