When standing/sitting at the toilet, your mind often drifts from the job at hand and while this may lead to disaster, for author Luke Barclay it inspired him to create a new genre of photos.

Barclay travelled the world and captured various views that demand more than a casual glance. His first book Loos With Views was a collection of these pics and he started a website, encouraging us normal folk to send in our photos.

The images above are a sampler from his latest book, entitled Good Loo Hunting, which includes toilet snaps all the way from Melbourne Cricket Ground to Canterbury Cathedral.

So next time you're in the situation, drop your copy of ShortList and get your camera out. If there's something worth snapping of course. You can send your pics in here.

Good Loo Hunting, by Luke Barclay is now out from Virgin Books at the price of £7.99.
