While pets are important for companionship, maintaining civil human/animal relations and for killing mice, they're also inarguably vital for balancing things on and then filming the results.

Showcasing skill, stamina, shamelessness and a remarkable restraint in not tearing any nearby human limb off, these heroic pets deserve more than just our childish laughter. They probably deserve some sort of break from this form of humiliation.

For now, here are nine of the greatest thing-balancers you're likely to see this week. Their salvation can wait.
