We've seen 8-bit versions of all sorts of things recently, but singer-songwriter Will Varley has gone the whole hog and created an 8-bit history of the world.

It features as the video for his own song Weddings & Wars, taken from his As The Crow Flies album, and was created by Varley himself on a demo version of a 90s computer program. Taking six weeks to make, it takes in, well, the whole history of man.
