Unless your days are spent sliding down poles for a living, best not try this at home.
 
Then again, as well trained in fire safety as pole dancers might be, we can’t help but think that even they might be led astray by the following video, which shows what neat tricks can be accomplished with a handful of household objects and a naked flame. Who knew pyromania took its name from Pyrex dishes?
 
We digress. The footage comes from the smart-arsonists at Brusspup, nerdy folk who use science to show us a host of feats: crayon candle, a ping pong ball burning, a candle rising with water – each one sure to stoke the emotional embers of your inner caveman.
 
There’s even a bit with a turntable. You know, for a disco inferno.
