Director Steven Soderbergh is known more for thought provoking films that point a critical finger and parts of society and shout, 'this is terrible, we must do something!' than he is for churning out satire.

So, when we heard he was directing a comedy thriller based on the the book by Kurt Eichenwald, we were a wee bit sceptical. But, as it turns out, from the trailer below, it's taken the thing the whole corruption and big business thing rather lightly. They've even brought in the guy from Quantum Leap (Scott Bakula).

The true-story of Mark Whitacre - played by Matt Damon - who was at the heart of one of the biggest whistle blowing operations in US corporate history has been doused in gallons of dark humour. Damon's character, who suffers from bipolar disorder, spends three years spying on his employers, with increasingly bizarre consequences. The Informant is due out later this year.
