Turkish morgue installs corpse alarm

A dead good idea...

No one really wants to be locked in a mortuary fridge, now do they.

So it’s all kinds of lucky that a local council in Malatya, Turkey, are taking measures to ensure it doesn’t happen to any of their constituents.

They’ve installed a warning system in their morgue that detects movement and sets off an alarm should anyone be fridged by accident or come back to life as a zombie.

“If the patient, proclaimed dead by doctors, awakens from a state of unconsciousness, then we consider each and every possibility,” said mortuary official Akif Kayadurmus of the system.

There are also handles on the inside of the fridge doors too, just to be double safe.
