A Chinese man's attempt to literally act out Stevie Wonder's Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours went drastically wrong when the third element of the plan took a lot longer than he bargained for.
Hu Seng, from Chongqing city, southern China decided to post himself via courier to his partner, Li Wang, as a romantic gesture, with a friend helping tape up the box, then waiting at the other end to video his triumphant arrival.
Unfortunately, the couriers got the address wrong, and Seng was trapped in the box - which had no air holes - for three hours instead of the planned thirty minutes. Incredibly Seng passed out in the box. "I didn't realise it would take so long...I tried to make a hole in the cardboard but it was too thick and I didn't want to spoil the surprise by shouting", he said later.
Yes, that's right. He decided to pass out instead of ruin the surprise: that lovely surprise that every woman wants, of opening a box to reveal your unresponsive, air-starved partner, then having to call paramedics to revive him.
We wonder how he'll try and top that on Valentine's Day.
