Landslide leaves caravans on the edge

Anyone going for a caravan holiday in Wales can typically expect a fairly safe, risk-free time away.

But things turned sour in Porthkerry caravan park this week after part of a cliff gave way, nearly plunging 15 caravans 200ft below.

Last week, a geologist was called in to investigate after cracks appeared at the top of the cliff in South Wales. But suddenly on Monday, a 60-yard section collapsed. Luckily 14 of the caravans were unoccupied and the woman who was in the 15th managed to flee.

The park's owners are now relaunching the site as a must for extreme adventurers. Probably.
