Dogs in the olden days were ace. They were fighter pilots, train drivers, detectives; that kind of thing. Well, such is our rose-tinted view of the past.

Like this of Mickey The Alsatian from 1930, who can jump extraordinary distances. Dogs just don’t bother doing this sort of thing these days.
