Zero Calorie Chocolate

It's the stuff of dreams, but it could soon become a reality. Zero calorie chocolate: the guilt-free guzzle.

A kickstarter project is developing a brand new chocolate-flavoured snack substitute, with no sugar, and no calories.

According to its maker, Ian Goldfarb, the product, called 'Cravings', is similar to Listerine Strips. When you crave chocolate, instead of reaching for a full bar, simply put the dissolvable, edible film on the roof of your mouth and savour the flavour instead. Your body will be tricked into thinking it has had what it asked for, and you can avoid piling on those pounds.

Ultimately Ian wants the strips to replicate a series of different flavours, a la Willy Wonka, but is starting with chocolate, statistically the most-craved flavour around.

The goal to begin production is $40,000 - at the moment the total pledged is only on $4,000, with the kickstarter finishing on Friday, so if we want this to happen, we all need to get stuck in quick. Simply head to the kickstarter page now. Think of all those Mars bars you'll save on - it's an investment really, isn't it?
