This 'Last Meals' blog is going to give you food envy

meal1.jpg

Pan fried scallops glazed in swan tears, served with a side of truffle tartar sauce? Mint choc chip ice cream and a deluxe fishfinger sandwich?

Despite its rather morbid connotations, we've all got a "last meal" idea secreted about the nether regions of our minds - and the following blog is going to make you re-evaluate yours.

Director Gus Filgate has set about the "small project" of imaging the final meals of deceased famous types and capturing them in glorious short films - complete with "special effects". It's the stuff of saliva-soaked fantasy.

The "ingredients" for each lavish meal are listed alongside the films, allowing the bold and the brave to attempt them in their own kitchens (after a fashion).

Head over to Filgate's Last Supper site to see the series in full, and have a crack at our favourite picks below.
