We attempted to get The Stig to reveal his identity

Some say he's veteran racing driver Damon Hill. Others think he's podium-topping GT driver Phil Keen (thanks, Matt LeBlanc). All we know is, The Stig doesn't give up his real identity lightly.

Ahead of the new series of Top Gear, we spent a day with the mute speedster in an Ariel Nomad. While flinging us through corners at considerably more than the average speed limit, we attempted to discover his name with a sophisticated ploy: shouting names at him, in the hope he might react to one of them.
